What is microneedling?
Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, is a non-invasive skin treatment that uses tiny, sterilised needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These channels trigger the body's natural healing response, which increases collagen and elastin production — the proteins that keep skin smooth, firm and even.
The result is gradual: texture becomes finer, shallow scars soften and fine lines look less etched. Because the change comes from your own repair process, it builds over the weeks after each session rather than appearing overnight.
Why choose microneedling at DayBeau Clinic Gangnam?
DayBeau Clinic is a physician-led clinic in its own building on Gangnam-daero, near Sinnonhyeon Station. A doctor examines your skin first and decides whether microneedling is the right tool — and if it is, how deep to go, which areas to treat and how many sessions are realistic. Treatment is done in a private room with English-speaking staff, and you leave with written aftercare.
Benefits of microneedling
- Smoother texture and tone — refines rough, uneven skin for a more even complexion.
- Softer fine lines — new collagen helps lines look less deep over time.
- Flatter acne scars and stretch marks — gradual remodelling of scar tissue improves clarity.
- Minimal downtime — most people are back to normal plans the next day.
- Suitable for many skin types — including darker skin tones, with the depth adjusted by the doctor.

Treatment areas
- Face — fine lines, enlarged pores, acne scars and dull texture.
- Neck and décolletage — crepey texture and loosening skin.
- Acne-scarred areas — rolling and shallow boxcar scars on the cheeks and temples.
- Stretch marks — abdomen, thighs and other areas.
- Hands — thin, textured skin on the backs of the hands.
Who is a good candidate?
- You want smoother texture and fewer visible scars, fine lines or pores.
- You have acne scars, stretch marks or enlarged pores you would like to reduce.
- You prefer a non-surgical option over lasers with longer downtime.
- You can plan for 1–3 days of mild redness after each session.
Microneedling is postponed if you have active acne or a skin infection, a cold sore outbreak, are pregnant, have used isotretinoin recently, or tend to form keloid scars.
Cost and consultation
The cost of microneedling depends on the treatment area, how many sessions you need and whether it is combined with a booster or another treatment. The fairest way to price it is after a doctor has seen your skin: send a photo and your question on WhatsApp for a first estimate, and the final plan is confirmed at consultation — with nothing added that you do not need.

If you are visiting Seoul, plan the session early in your trip so any redness has settled before events or a long-haul flight. Our English-speaking team can arrange your consultation and treatment on the same day where the doctor agrees it is suitable.
